Struggling with a Reactive or Anxious Dog?

Lindsay Dellas Offers Dog Behavior Support in San Francisco and Online.

You love your dog. But right now, things feel really hard. Maybe your dog is barking and lunging, has snapped or bitten, and you’re walking on eggshells wondering what comes next.

You’ve stopped going on walks. You’ve cancelled plans. You’re nervous to have people over, and every encounter leaves you feeling defeated and exhausted.

You might have tried training before. You might be wondering if your dog is beyond help, or quietly carrying thoughts you feel too scared to say out loud. Worry about rehoming. Uncertainty about the future. Whether things will ever actually get better.

That’s exactly where I come in. Together we get to the root of what’s driving your dog’s behavior so you finally have clarity, a real plan, and someone in your corner for the whole journey.

My clients don’t just see progress with their dogs. They feel understood, less alone, and genuinely hopeful again. I’m here for the hard days too, and my goal is to bring the joy back into your relationship with your dog.

Hi, I’m Lindsay Dellas, a Certified Trainer and Dog Behavior Consultant (CTBC), CPDT-KA, and Fear Free Certified Professional based in San Francisco, California.

When I adopted my dog in 2014 he struggled deeply with city life.

After a terrible experience with a punitive trainer I trusted my gut, kept looking, and found a skilled behavior consultant who changed everything.

She helped me truly understand my dog and set me on a path that transformed our relationship and my entire career.

I want to pass that gift on to you.

Lindsay led by example and taught me how to better support Fig’s anxiety and reactivity

Lindsay is the BEST dog trainer.

I can’t say enough good things so I will just highlight a few of the things that stood out.

1) She is absolutely reliable, timely and professional.

2) She brought the most calming, encouraging, friendly and non judgmental energy into every training session at a time when stress levels were at a high dealing with Fig’s reactivity.

3) She led by example and taught me how to better support Fig’s anxiety and reactivity by managing my own energy and advocating for Fig’s needs

4) Lastly, she earned the nickname Zen Master because she helped me rebuild my relationship with Fig so that we were more connected, centered and attuned to each other.

Endlessly grateful for Lindsay’s guidance and training!

Things people usually want to know before booking

faqs
Do you work online or in person?
All consultations and behavior work sessions take place over Zoom.

This isn’t a compromise; it’s actually the gold standard of care for anxious and reactive dogs.

Having a stranger enter your home can be incredibly stressful for a dog that is already struggling, and that stress works against everything we are trying to achieve.

In-person sessions are only available for established clients when it is deemed appropriate.

Where are you based and who do you work with?
I’m based in San Francisco and work with guardians across the Bay Area and everywhere online.

If you have a dog and an internet connection, we can work together.

What kinds of dogs do you work with?
I specialise in dogs that are having a hard time, reactive dogs, anxious and fearful dogs, dogs that have snapped or bitten, shy or shut down dogs, and dogs with medical complexity.

If your dog has been written off or you’ve been told there’s nothing you can do, please reach out.

Do you use force free methods?
Always. My work is grounded in fear free, force free methods and I would never use pain, fear or intimidation on any dog. No prong collars, no shock collars, no exceptions.
How do I get started?

Every journey starts with the Initial Consultation, a 90 minute Zoom session where we go deep on your dog’s history, behaviors, environment and your goals.

You can book directly online via Acuity.

If you have questions first, you’re welcome to reach out by email or text.
